Vice President and Manager of Renewable Energy Karin Barry serves as the primary business development/relationship manager with renewable energy tax credit investors and project developers to syndicate solar investment tax credits. Ms. Berry comes to NTCIC with a wealth of experience, having served as senior advisor in the Office of Policy for the U.S. Department of Energy; vice president of the Guggenheim Capital Markets, principal of Pave Energy Finance; and most recently, senior account executive and vice president of PNC Energy Capital. Ms. Berry has worked on renewable transactions all over the country for commercial, municipal, residential, utility and nonprofit clients. Ms. Berry received a bachelor’s degree from Samford University and a master’s degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas Austin. Mr. Engstrom has more than 10 years of experience in renewable energy across nearly every segment of the value chain including project finance, greenfield development, construction management, operations and product management. He has raised financing for more than 2GW of solar and wind projects. Mr. Engstrom specializes in transaction management and financial modeling in the renewable energy sector, including tax equity, debt, and M&A. His experience includes work across various areas of the U.S. renewable energy market - utility-scale solar and wind, distributed generation, residential solar, and waste-to-energy. Mr. Engstrom was most recently at CohnReznick Capital where focused on equity and debt raises and asset M&A. Prior to that, Mr. Engstrom was at SunEdison, where he focused on project finance for U.S. utility-scale solar and wind projects, M&A transactions, and corporate equity raises. Mr. Engstrom also worked for Cargill in its Global Emissions European Power & Gas Trading group where he developed, constructed, and managed the operations of three waste-to-energy projects. Mr. Engstrom received his master’s degree from Cornell University’s Johnson Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
